Smoking

SMOKING

Smoking is a type of practice whereby a substance, commonly known as tobacco, is burnt and the smoke is either tasted or inhaled. It is used as a recreational drug mostly. The common method of smoking is through CIGARETTES though there are rolling paper, pipes and even cigars. Most of us already know that it is extremely unhealthy and stuff. Would you like to know what is in a cigarette that causes a 4.9 million people worldwide each year to die in 2007? LETS GO!

LOOK! SEE WHAT IS INSIDE! SHOCKING ISN'T IT? Even i can't believe people smoke this.
It is mainly the nicotine that gets people to get addicted. All these chemicals inside can damage from our brains and all the way to the lungs.Tobacco smoking is today by far the most popular form of smoking and is practiced by over one billion people in the majority of all human societies. Less common drugs for smoking include cannabis and opium. Some of the substances are classified as hard narcotics, like heroin, but the use of these is very limited as they are often not commercially available.

Smokers often report that cigarettes help relieve feelings of stress. However, the stress levels of adult smokers are slightly higher than those of nonsmokers. Adolescent smokers report increasing levels of stress as they develop regular patterns of smoking, and smoking cessation leads to reduced stress. Far from acting as an aid for mood control, nicotine dependency seems to exacerbate stress. This is confirmed in the daily mood patterns described by smokers, with normal moods during smoking and worsening moods between cigarettes. Thus, the apparent relaxant effect of smoking only reflects the reversal of the tension and irritability that develop during nicotine depletion. Dependent smokers need nicotine to remain feeling normal.
Smoking is a preventable death cause as it brings extremely harmful diseases. There are a lot of bans for smoking, even in Singapore where 18 years is the legal age for smoking.

Though smoking can reduce the incidence of sarcoidosis, which is a disease in organs, it is obviously meant to be prohibited. It may be hard to quit but the more you learn about your options and prepare for quitting, the easier the process will be. With the right game plan tailored to your needs, you can break the addiction, manage your cravings, and join the millions of people who have kicked the habit for good.
THANKS- Mustaffa
